This class is an invitation to paint without worrying about whether the result is good, finished, or worth showing anyone. It grew out of my own return to painting after a long break, when I realized how much perfectionism had quietly shaped the way I created. Letting go of outcomes and rules turned painting back into something human again. Messy, physical, and surprisingly calming. In this class, we focus on the act of painting itself, not the product. There is no single style to follow and no expectation of skill. We work with simple materials, intuitive mark making, and a willingness to see what happens when you stop correcting yourself mid stroke. You do not need experience. You do not need to be talented. You do not need to finish anything. We will paint. We will notice what comes up. We will talk a little about process, habits, and how perfectionism shows up in creative work. Mostly, we will make marks and give ourselves permission to leave them alone. This class is for adults who want to reconnect with creativity without pressure, judgment, or the need to improve. If you have been avoiding creative work because you are worried about doing it wrong, this class was made for you. You will leave with paint on your hands, a piece of unfinished work, and a clearer sense that nothing bad happens when you stop trying to get it right.
